A Surprise Proposal at Sunset | Murrells Inlet Engagement
When Lyman reached out to say he wanted to propose to Madi during their Myrtle Beach vacation, I knew it was going to be something special. He wanted it captured just right—and I was all in.
We chatted through ideas, talked dinner plans, and he even took my suggestion to dine at one of my absolute favorites, The Claw House in Murrells Inlet (seriously, it never misses). After dinner, they walked along the beach, and I followed close behind, camera in hand—pretending to photograph my decoy (shoutout to my friend who loves a good romantic proposal and never says no to getting her steps in).
Madi was totally surprised, and her reaction? It would melt your heart. Pure joy, disbelief, and so much love—it was an honor to witness it unfold.
We snapped a few just-engaged photos, popped some champagne, and then I slipped away to let them soak in the magic of the moment and celebrate their future.
This is why I do what I do—to freeze real, raw emotion in time, especially when it’s wrapped in love and sand between your toes.
